Some of us still remember Sonoma before it became Wine Country. We can picture the town square with the hardware store, the grocery, the funky bars and family style restaurants. The land around us was dotted with apple, pear and prune orchards. Cattle and sheep grazed, and the biggest livestock crop was turkey.
