Tank Sales Down, Bulk Storage Up
Tank sales slow as many wineries make due, while bulk wine facilities operate near capacity.

One of the main reasons wineries purchase new tanks is to handle expansions in production; but this year tank purchasing has been thrown off due to a general decline in planting and wine consumption driven by the slumped economy. Instead, wineries are making use of the tanks they have or, for those who need additional space, are looking at storage rental solutions that make the most sense for their size and budget, including contracting with bulk storage facilities or renting portable wine tanks...
