Not just for bottle sales, tours have become customer acquisition and retention tools.

The ubiquitous winery tour comes in almost as many different iterations as there are wineries. While it is easy to say that the development and implementation of a tour has an obvious business objective--to sell wine--the situation might not be as cut-and-dried as that, especially when it comes to gathering performance data.
