A CLEAR INDICATION of how UC Davis' Department of Viticulture and Enology is stepping up their efforts to push information out to industry, the 2008 RAVE (Recent Advances in Viticulture and Enology) featured a constant stream of diverse topics. The symposium was held on March 20 on the UC Davis campus, where Freeborn Hall had nary an empty seat. I will attempt to discuss only a subset of the presentations and offer a few opinions in the process...
