What sets the off-premise sector apart?

Most everyday drinking wines have always been purchased in the off-premise sector. Be it a bottle of wine to drink with burgers or a couple of cases of bubbly for a party, wine stores are where consumers make most of their purchases and where their money goes the farthest. Local wine shops and supermarket aisles are where consumers first hone and expand their palates.
