National Brown-Forman Sells Bolla Winery The Bolla winery, in Piemonte, Italy, was founded in 1883 and has been sold by Brown-Forman to GIV (Gruppo Italiano Vini). GIV will produce Bolla wines for Brown-Forman and will also distribute them in Italy. Brown-Forman retains the rights to the Bolla brand. Brown-Forman announced in mid-July that it was in negotiation with GIV over Bolla. The two companies have had a long association as GIV has produced wines for Brown-Forman's Fontana-Candida...
