Tasting Rooms Grow Up May. It's been a wet spring here in Northern California. Too wet: So far, the record rain streak has been more of a nuisance than a threat to the grape crop. However, the rain in some cases has delayed bud break and it may delay the season for growing wine grapes. If it continues much longer, the size of the 2006 harvest could be reduced.
