With per-capita wine consumption at an all-time high, wine sales are growing at a healthy pace. And although consumers are showing a tendency to explore more varietals and to try new styles of wines, the "big three" of Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon remain the undisputed leaders in the ACNielsen-tracked* food store channel.
