Sales of sparkling wine and Champagne are steadily on the increase, up 9.4 percent in sales in the 52 weeks ending September 24, 2005 and up 4.2 percent in case sales in the same time frame. Domestic wines are the top sellers, up 8.5 percent in sales and 3.8 percent in case volume with a 77.7 percent market share. Imported wine gained 10.9 percent in sales and 5.7 percent in case volume.
