The changes created for the 25th anniversary of "Auction Napa Valley" were significant and caused some grousing from former attendees. Auction Napa Valley was created out of the ashes of the former "Napa Valley Wine Auction," and tongues started to wag as soon as the changes were announced. Ticket prices for the new four-day package rose to a hefty $7,500 per couple, up from a previous price of $2,500.
