Many wineries are turning to heavier glass in an attempt to distinguish themselves and meet consumers' perceptions of high-end wines.

Even the most casual observer of wine bottles must notice the trend toward bigger, taller and heavier bottles. High-end wineries have fallen in love with massive wine bottles.
