Virginia Latest State to Allow Direct-to-Consumer Wine ShipmentsVirginia is now the 23rd state to allow for interstate, direct-to-consumer wine shipments from out-of-state wineries. The new law takes effect July 1, 2003 and will allow Virginians the ability to order and receive wine directly from out-of-state wineries that are licensed to make direct-to-consumer shipments.
