Eutypa Dieback (Eutypa) is one of the most important diseases of grapevine worldwide. In a 2001 survey of viticultural and enological research issues conducted by the American Vineyard Foundation (AVF), over 2,000 vintners and growers placed Eutypa research second only in importance to Pierce's Disease in the categories of fungal, bacterial and viral diseases.
