During November, the Australian dollar gained 1.97 percent from its average value for October. Over the longer-term, the Australian dollar has gained 8.62 percent versus the US dollar over the past year. This means that, in effect, the revenues for Australian wine imported into the US market has eroded by almost 9 percent since November of last year.
