The brief rally the US dollar saw during August appeared to lose steam during September. The Aussie dollar (up 0.86 percent), the euro (up 0.31 percent), and the pound (up 1.37 percent) all gained on the US dollar while the Canadian dollar (down 0.50 percent), the Chilean peso (down 3.72 percent), the yen (down 1.72 percent), and the Mexican peso (down 2.30 percent) softened.
