As mentioned last month, currency rates have made European products more expensive for US buyers since the beginning of the year. At the same time, the profits for US winemakers exporting to the UK has stalled out somewhat as the pound gained against the dollar. The Australian and Canadian dollars appear to have hit their peaks during June with July exchange rate for these currencies seeing substantial corrections from gains of the first half of the year.
