Wine Sales Growth Continues in 2012
But growth rates were not as robust as the previous year

Total wine sales volumes, as tracked through Nielsen scan data, rose by about 2 percent in 2012. That compares very favorably with most consumer packaged goods categories. According to Danny Brager, vice president and group client director for the beverage alcohol team at Nielsen, wine represents one of just four out of 120 consumer packaged goods categories Nielsen tracks that grew during each of the last three years.
