New survey reveals trends in wood alternatives and closures and what equipment and new technologies are being successfully implemented at wineries.

Many wineries are taking positive steps to conserve water usage, though very few are monitoring their water consumption, according to a new survey conducted by UC Davis in partnership with Wine Business Monthly. The survey also revealed new trends in the use of wood alternatives and closures, as well as what equipment and new technologies are being successfully implemented in small and larger wineries, including cross-flow microfiltration, optical sorting and micro-oxygenation.
