Every year the ASEV presents awards to the best enology and the best viticulture papers of the previous year. This year the award for the "Best ASEV Paper Award" for a viticulture paper was awarded to M. Carmo Vasconcelos and Steve Castagnoli of Oregon State University, in Corvallis, for their paper, "Leaf Canopy Structure and Vine Performance."
