DESCRIPTION: Wine lees recovery represents a challenging filtration process for wineries. High concentration and variability of suspended solids limit suitable filtration technologies while strict environmental regulations and sustainability programs are increasing pressure to reduce waste volumes. Pall’s Oenoflow™ HS system is a new cross-flow filtration system designed specifically for wine recovery from lees. The hollow fiber membrane system overcomes typical drawbacks associated with existing DE-based lees filters, producing higher quality wine more efficiently and economically.
