Leonardo LoCascio, President, CEO and Founder of Winebow, Inc., announced the expansion of Winebow's distribution business into the state of Illinois. Winebow will operate as a distributor serving the market from a new Chicago distribution facility.
Winebow is America's leading importer of fine Italian and South American estates and represents some of the finest wineries from around the world. In addition, the company owns significant distribution operations in several northeast and mid-Atlantic states.
"This development increases our distribution presence in one of the most important wine consuming states in the country," said Mr. LoCascio. "We are excited about this opportunity and look forward to more effectively promoting our import portfolios as well as bringing our industry leading service levels to our customers and producers alike."
The Chicago operation will immediately represent the entire Winebow import portfolio and selected domestic and international suppliers. Brands from its subsidiary, Click Wine Group, are excluded. Winebow's full portfolio can be reviewed at www.winebow.com.
Winebow's Illinois business will be managed by Vice Presidents Peter Steinhouse and Seth Allen, two seasoned local wine distribution executives. Steinhouse will oversee operations that include a 37,000 square foot temperature controlled facility within the Chicago city limits, a refrigerated delivery fleet and an experienced team of local fine wine sales professionals.
