Cooperages 1912 is pushing its standards for the T.W. Boswell barrel line to a new level of excellence, a decision linked to the company's continuing pursuit of meticulous standards, full transparency and guaranteed consistency.

“One of our ongoing goals as a company is to research ways we can achieve a higher and higher standard,” said Brad Boswell, company President. “As part of this effort, our team has introduced groundbreaking „Grain Recognition Technology (GRT) that scans and records the growth rings of every stave. GRT allows us to guarantee every barrel we cooper has a number of growth rings that falls within a predetermined range.”

To complement this new technology, each T.W. Boswell barrel will be branded with a “Certificate of Quality” providing critical information that influences the barrel?s organoleptic profile. Information on the certificate will include actual “growth rings per inch,” certified wood origin, exact location and duration of natural seasoning, and unique toasting metrics.
