Sonoma County's Westcoast Solar Energy Completes Schug Carneros Estate Winery
Sonoma County-based Westcoast Solar Energy has completed a dynamic solar installation of 247 panels at Schug Carneros Estate Winery in celebration of Schug’s 30th anniversary.
The installation not only generates 76,237 kilowatt hours of energy annually, but it was also designed to lend itself to the facilities’ needs. The panels were installed on a canopy structure with space below to house the winery’s machines and company vehicles.
"We are excited and proud to take a step toward the future, while celebrating our 30 year past of outstanding winemaking," explained Scott Stone, General Manager at Schug Carneros Estate Winery. The installation will offset 100% of the winery's average annual energy demands and will essentially eliminate all electrical expenses over the course of 12 months. “Westcoast is also proud to be a part of the celebration and to work with the Schug family to bring their vision to reality,” added Nate Gulbransen, President at Westcoast.
