Gusmer is excited to announce the launch of their latest addition to the MicroEssentials Fermentation Nutrients line. The new product, dubbed Prime by the researchers that created it, is a unique solution to an already solved problem in the wine industry.
“Adding organic nitrogen in the form of nutrient additions during yeast rehydration is a fairly common practice,” said Lars Petersen, Director of Biological Services at Gusmer. “Prime is different because it provides the organic nitrogen in the most efficient manner we’ve seen in lab trials.” The difference maker in Prime is its extremely high level of solubility and industry leading concentrations of organic nitrogen, 12.5 mg/L in a 2lb/1000gallon addition.
“When we set out to create Prime, we focused on organic nitrogen concentration and solubility,” said Jasmin Sahota, Research Scientist for Gusmer. “Solubility was particularly important because we wanted the nutrients immediately available to the yeast. Higher solubility equals a better yeast assimilation.”
MicroEssentials Prime is currently available is powdered form in 1kg and 10kg boxes. For full technical specifications on Prime and all of Gusmer’s MicroEssentials Fermentation Nutrients please go to https://www.gusmerenterprises.com/c-109-fermentation-nutrients.aspx
