Wine Management Systems, creators of one of the first complete winery software solutions that operates entirely in the “cloud” of the internet, announced today that changes to the software make it compatible with the new iPad from Apple Computer.

The portability of the iPad, combined with the flexibility of having your entire winery operations online, make the two a perfect combination, according to CEO Patrick Oates. “We noticed in visits to winery operations, that even though the majority of the computers in the facility were Windows-based, many winemakers ran their portion of the operation on Apple products. We wanted to make sure our software made it easy for winemakers that are relying on Apples and may soon be moving to the iPad to work with us.” The software works on PC based tablets as well.

Wine Management Systems was founded in 2006 to address the glaring needs of the small to mid size wine producer. At the time there were no affordable software applications available that could assist in tracking every critical activity that occurs in the winery business cycle.
