Universal Specialties Announces Name Change to Universal Packaging Inc.
Universal Specialties Inc has announced that it has changed its name to Universal Packaging Inc.
The words “Universal Specialties” have been synonymous with high quality since 1985. The company’s history dates back to when it originally screen printed bottles for wineries and breweries. Over the years, it evolved into screen printing glass bottles for the likes of Coca Cola, Molson’s and Clearly Canadian. This eventually led to Universal Specialties becoming one of the preeminent bottle screen printers to the wine industry.
In the past few years, a number of its loyal winery customers asked Universal if it could also supply plain glass bottles and cartons to them. This natural evolution in becoming a full-service packaging supply company was a perfect fit for Universal. Mac McLellan, president of Universal Packaging Inc, states, “We were already doing the graphic design, high-end bottle screen printing and arranging the logistics for our customers. Supplying the glass bottles, printed cartons and closures completed the circle. We have become a true full-service packaging supply company to the Wine industry.”
McLellan goes on to say “what really drives Universal Packaging Inc. is our commitment to quality. We have assembled one of the finest glass and screen printing Quality Assurance teams in North America. Each member of this team has many decades of experience in the glass industry. Quite simply, our name means everything to us. We want to do everything we can to give our customers “peace-of-mind” when it comes to the products or services we provide them with.”
Universal Packaging Inc. is one of North America’s largest bottle screen printer and glass distributors. UPI has been servicing its customers across North America since 1985. It is a “one-stop” packaging supply company to the wine industry that offers domestic and imported glass supply, high-end bottle screen printing, printed cartons, closures, wine boxes, graphic design, logistics and warehousing.
