Effective Feb. 1, The Vintner Group of Ashland, Virginia, an importer of fine wines and distributor of fine wines and craft spirits, is acquiring substantially all of the assets of Dionysus Distributors of Raleigh, North Carolina. The Vintner Group’s wholesale operation in that state, The Country Vintner of North Carolina, will absorb Dionysus’ portfolio and sales force.

Dating from 1980, The Vintner Group is the premiere dedicated fine wine and craft spirit wholesaler in the U.S. TVG’s knowledge-based sales culture and customer-centric approach have allowed the company to grow organically and independently, as The Country Vintner in Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, as Prestige Wine Wholesale in Georgia and as Stacole Fine Wines in Florida. In addition to the distribution businesses, a national import arm, Craft + Estate, now services 44 states and The American Still Life Collection, a craft spirit portfolio, was launched in 2011 and is also sold nationally.
