Quality Wine Barrels Cooperage now offers barrels ready-to-use with fresh oak Innerstave brand oak inserts (the originator of oak insert products in the wine industry) already installed in a pre-inspected, sanitized barrel. Rather than having to hassle with finding the right type of used barrels suitable to have inserts installed or using your own used barrels and then having to schedule for the cooper to open the barrel, perform the inspection and innerstave installaton or transport the barrels to a facility to have this done, then, etc.

Instead, Quality Wine Barrels provides the neutral red or white, FO, AO or HO barrels (purchased separately) that have been inspected to ensure their suitability for innerstaves (or you can provide your own barrels). While installing the innerstaves Quality Wine Barrels also takes the opportunity to perform a thorough internal inspection to ensure your barrels are free of off odors or bacterial contamination that might make them unsuitable for wine storage. We finish by steaming to ensure each barrel is sanitized and leak free when received at the winery.

To simulate the oak extraction of a new barrel, 18 sq. ft. of new oak surface area is installed by our cooperage team into a pre-inspected neutral barrel. You will achieve oak extraction like that of a new barrel to augment your oak program at fraction of the cost of new oak barrels.
