Wine and the Web announces affordable Website and eCommerce package for small wineries

Date: 08/23/12

SONOMA, CA - James Marshall Berry, owner of JMB Web Consulting, has announced the release of the much anticipated Wine and the Web website product, which will give even the smallest of wineries the chance to sell wine online with many of the tools the larger wineries enjoy, and at a cost that fits their budgets. “Over the course of the years of consulting with small wineries, set up, management and cost have been the largest barriers to selling wine online for the little guys” said Berry. “These tools and our system remove those roadblocks.” The system consists of a WordPress website, hosted on WordPress optimized web servers, merged with the Vin65 ecommerce engine, branded for the winery and delivered for $4900, and monthly fee of $149, which includes all eCommerce and hosting charges.

Berry continued “After looking at many available eCommerce options, it became clear that Vin65 was the powerhouse in the wine eCommerce field and we’ve been fortunate enough to be able to offer a “Lite” version of their eCommerce engine with our package. Factor in the business tools offered from Wine Management Systems and Wine and the Web really becomes a one-stop shop for any small wineries online needs, from compliance to shipping and everything in between.”

“With the business tools from Wine Management Systems, an easy to use WordPress website, and a “Lite” version of our Vin65 ecommerce engine, James has put together a perfect partnership for a small winery at a very affordable price” said Brent Johnson, Sales Manager for Vin65. Pat Oates, CEO of Wine Management Systems adds: “We’re delighted to partner with Wine and the Web to further bring a broad portfolio of best of breed, affordable solutions to smaller wineries.”

WordPress is the most popular open-source content management system in use today, with thousands of websites and bloggers already using the software, making it easy for any user to maintain and update their own website, at no additional cost. The “Lite” version of Vin65 includes compliance, fulfillment, allocations, mobile app and more. Wine Management Systems is the only cloud-based winery production management system available today, providing production tools and reporting.
