WiSA Enters into the U.S. Market

Date: 03/07/12

WiSA, the creator and manufacturer of advanced water irrigation management systems has announced their entry into the U.S. market. The official introduction of WiSA products occurred at the World AG Expo held February 14 – 16, 2012 in Tulare, Ca.

WiSA, an Australian company, has developed a strong presence in Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, France, etc over the last 10 years. It’s systems are designed to military specifications to endure the most challenging environments and are backed by a three (3) year warranty.

The WiSA system utilizes and array of inground sensors, on site weather station data, algaritms and rules to control all aspects of irrigation, injection fertilization, pumps, motors, valves, etc. The system, through it’s sensors and algorithms, determines the optimum watering and irrigation for the crop being grown and turns on and off each element of the irrigation system to achieve optimum plant health and growth. The field units are solar powered and wireless and feed realtime data to your computer. The system can be monitored and/or controled from anywhere in the world through handheld smart phones.

Implemented WiSA systems have achieved up to 30% reduction in:
1) Water
2) Fertilizer
3) Energy
4) Labor (labor savings often exceed 50% or more)

In addtion to savings, most installations have also improve the quality and yield per acre where the WiSA systems are implemented.

WiSA systems are installed in vineyards, orchards, row crops, green houses, hydroponics, large scale commercial landscaping and sports fields. There are over 161,000 acres throughout the world currently using WiSA systems. The majority, 136,000 acres, are planted with vineyards.

WiSA will be exclusively represented in North, Central and South America by Off The Vine, LLC. Off The Vine, LLC will soon be opening a West Coast office in Sonoma County.
