Job Description:

The Trinchero family, producers of Sutter Home, Trinchero, Montevina, Folie a Deux, Three Thieves, Trinity Oaks, Reynolds, Little Boomey and Fre wines, have been a force in the Napa Valley since 1947, when Mario Trinchero purchased Sutter Home Winery. With the help of his family, he transformed it from a mom-and-pop winery to the fourth largest wine producer in the nation. We currently have a Bottling Maintenance Foreman position available in our Production department.

Job Summary:
To coordinate the daily activities of the bottling maintenance staff.

The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
• Plan and direct the daily activities of the bottling maintenance mechanics as directed by the Bottling Maintenance Supervisor.
• Execute preventative maintenance program for packaging machinery and ancillary equipment systems as defined in the quality system documentation.
• Assist with spare parts management system.
• Participate in instituting training programs for the development of bottling maintenance staff. Ensure mechanics are trained adequately before being allowed to work on major equipment without proper supervision.
• Utilize technical skills in troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing packaging machinery that demonstrates literacy and required sophistication to manage PLC environments as well as using mechanical aptitude to solve all mechanical and electrical problems in the bottling facility.
• Provide hands-on supervision in accordance with Trinchero Family Estates practices.
• Provide written communication as well as oral instruction to assigned mechanics.
• Act as a team player, taking direction well and providing direction to subordinates in the spirit of Trinchero Family Estates' business practices.
• Provide support to line captains and production line staff to ensure efficient daily operational efficiencies as required.

Other Functions:
• Responsible for understanding Quality Management System related activities, including the quality policy and ISO awareness. Responsible for communicating and ensuring employees understand Quality Management System related activities, including the quality policy and quality objectives.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance activities with the Bottling Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist with new equipment start-ups and installations as required.
• Conduct tailgate safety meetings as required and actively participate in Sutter Home Winery safety programs.
• Maintain clean and orderly shops in accordance with Trinchero Family Estates practices.

Qualifications:
• Previous bottling line or packaging line maintenance experience essential.
• Organizational skills and the ability to follow through on projects with minimal supervision.
• 2 +years supervisory experience.
• PC literate and able to understand and use spreadsheets in production applications.
• PLC literate with the ability to write programs and input program changes.
• Able to work with parts inventory and preventative maintenance scheduling software.
