Job Description:
Clos LaChance Winery, a family owned and operated winery located in the Santa Cruz Mountain Foothills and the Northern Central Coast is seeking a Sales Manager/Key Account Specialist for Northern CA and Northern NV. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years experience at the wholesale/distributor level with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals within the territory. This is a field sales position and will require travel throughout Northern CA and Northern NV. The position requires working with distributor sales representatives as well as calling on Key Accounts independently to acheive sales goals and broaden consummer and account awareness of Clos LaChance Wines. The ideal candidate will have the skills and knowledge to work closely with distributor field level management to set goals, incentives, and account promotions. Knowledge of chains is a plus.
Job Description:
FIELD SALES (80%): selling programmed/quoted items, presentations for new distribution, selling promotional activities (displays, waiter incentives, BTG pours, newsletters) in chains, general market, on premise and off.
TERRITORY MANAGEMENT: Objective setting/preplanning, execution of plan and follow up proceedures, timely report handling.
MERCHANDISING: Effective use of POS, selling principals on premise, off premise and chain. Understands chain merchandising, shelf, coldbox, display and cross merchandising.
WINE DINNERS AND CONSUMMER EVENTS: Candidate must be proficient at public speaking and must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Position reports directly to National Sales Director.
