PURPOSE OF ROLE
To provide management of Foster’s pricing and sales data analysis.
DIRECT REPORTS
None
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Work with Team Lead to manage and monitor Safeway’s EDLP pricing strategy.
• Track all price promotions including competitive set, through internal and syndicated sources.
• Conduct analysis related to pricing and promotions, pre and post.
• Manage communication of programming.
• Liason between Distributors and Safeway pricing department for communication and correction
• Provide support to account team in identifying customer growth opportunities while mitigating business risks
• Assist Safeway team with any projects and reports needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, experience and/or abilities required.
Qualifications/ Memberships:
• 2-3 years previous analytical experience in sales, finance, or marketing.
• AC Nielsen or IRI data analysis experience needed.
• Advanced PC skills required including, Excel, Word, Database applications, and Powerpoint.
• 1-2 years pricing experience desired.
• Wine / alcohol beverage industry experience desirable, but not required.
• CPG experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills required.
• Excellent organization skills, multi-tasking, and project management skills required.
• Ability to manage tasks and to exercise independent judgment without supervision required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and distributors.
• Must be a person of high integrity, commitment and possess a strong work ethic.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described below are representative to successfully perform the essential job functions. The following percentages are given in terms of an eight-hour workday.
