JUSTIN, a pioneering Central Coast winery founded in 1981, has announced the appointment of Scott Shirley to Winemaker. In his new role, Shirley will oversee all winemaking, cellar, laboratory, and bulk inventory operations. In addition, Shirley will work side-by-side with Paul Kaselionis, Grower Relations and Estate Vineyard Manager, to continue to nurture JUSTIN’s estate vineyards and grower relationships, aligning the best grapes in the Paso Robles AVA with JUSTIN’s stunning portfolio of Bordeaux focused wine programs.

Shirley brings a wealth of both academic and practical winery experience to JUSTIN, with prior posts at The Hess Collection and Opus One. His fifteen harvest career has been focused on working with Bordeaux varieties from distinct microclimates, and in the winery crafting luxury Cabernet Sauvignon. A graduate of University of California at Davis, Shirley will reside in Paso Robles with his wife, Margaret and their two daughters. I am thrilled with my new position and look forward to getting started.”
