Basel Cellars, recently hired Bob During as Hospitality Manager. He will manage the 13,000 square foot Basel Cellars Estate and Tasting room. During began his journey in the wine industry first at Windsor Vineyards in California, then at Clos Du Val in Napa Valley. He gained extensive wine and hospitality knowledge at Grgich Hills.
Basel Cellars currently produces between 5,000 and 7,000 cases annually of small batch, high quality wines. They opened their doors in 2002 with grapes planted in 1996 in Walla Walla and Columbia Valley. The grapes on Double River Vineyard, which surround the estate, provide Semillon and Syrah in addition to the Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Sauvingnon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
