Woodinville Wine Country, a non-profit trade association responsible for building awareness for the quality and diversity of Woodinville wines and tasting experiences, announced Gretchen Smith has joined the organization as its new Marketing Coordinator.
In her newly established position as Woodinville Wine Country marketing coordinator, Smith will bring experience from her previous position at Mike’s Hard Lemonade in Seattle to Woodinville wineries.
During her two and one-half year tenure at Mike’s, Smith helped oversee the company’s social media initiatives, coordinated public relations programs and monitored the company’s brand identity, among other duties.
“This is an exciting time for Washington wine enthusiasts as the Woodinville wine community continues to grow,” notes Woodinville Wine Country president Mike Stevens. “Gretchen will play an important role in bringing attention to new programs and the increasing number of unique tasting rooms and quality wines produced in Woodinville.”
The group also announced the appointment of two new board members: Carol Munro, director, community relations for Chateau Ste. Michelle and Bill Collins, Tasting Room Supervisor for Columbia Winery, are Woodinville Wine Country’s newest board members. Both will serve 3-year terms. Munro will assist the association with strategic planning. Collins will serve as recording secretary.
Conveniently located 25 minutes northeast of downtown Seattle, Woodinville is home to more than 80 Washington wineries and tasting rooms.
