V2 Wine Group Appoints Rick Morrison as Director of Sales -- Qupé
V2 Wine Group of Sonoma is pleased to announce a key marketing promotion as well as four new strategic appointments to its steadily expanding business. Alex Dessouky, who joined V2 Wine Group in 2010 as Director of Marketing, has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing. Joining the company are Michael Pulice as Director of National Retail Accounts, Jack Harvey as South Central Regional Manager, Rick Morrison as Director of Sales – Qupé and Jacquelyn Musgrave as Finance Manager. The additions will increase the wine company’s national sales support and coverage for its growing and impressive portfolio of wines, which includes Dry Creek Vineyard, Steelhead Wines, Toad Hollow Vineyards, Quivira Vineyards and Qupé Wine Cellars, among others.
Appointed Director of Sales- Qupé, Rick Morrison comes to V2 Wine Group from Qupé Wine Cellars where he served as National Sales Manager for 8 years, building the brand and gaining exposure at many of the finest restaurants in the U.S. Prior to joining Qupé, Morrison served as National VP Sales/Promotion for Richard Branson's indie music label, promoting top charting artists such as The White Stripes and Moby. Morrison also served for six years as Senior National Director of Modern Rock Promotion for the RCA/BMG/SONY Music Group, helping to launch the careers of the Dave Matthews Band and the Foo Fighters, among others. Morrison learned the wine business from the ground up, taking personal vacations to join Qupé Winemaker/Owner Bob Lindquist at harvest to help crush grapes, wash barrels and do “whatever else it took.”
