Walter Whyte Joins Gordon Brothers Family Vineyards as National Sales Director

Date: 12/21/11

Gordon Brothers Family Vineyards, located in the heart of the Columbia Valley AVA, is pleased to announce the appointment of Walter Whyte to the position of National Sales Director effective January 1, 2012.

Whyte comes to the company with a solid record of accomplishment and an in-depth understanding of the wine industry, acquired over his 15-year career as both a supplier and wholesaler representative. He most recently served as the Eastern Regional Sales Director for Peachy Canyon Winery in Paso Robles, California, where he oversaw all sales and marketing activity for 28 states and Eastern Canada. Now, as the National Sales Director for Gordon Brothers Family Vineyards, Whyte will be responsible for sales of the Gordon Brothers and Kamiak brands across the country.

“I am thrilled by the opportunity to join the Gordon family,” said Whyte. “They are true pioneers in the Washington State wine industry, with an impeccable reputation. Their wine collection improves with each vintage, and they provide tremendous value to the consumer.” He added, “I look forward to expanding on the well-established framework that the Gordons have built through 25 years of hard work, and establishing Gordon Brothers as one of the premier wineries, not only in Washington State, but in the entire nation.”
Company founder Jeff Gordon is equally thrilled to have Whyte join his team. “The skills and experience Walter brings to our table will yield terrific benefits. I have no doubt he can drive greater awareness and enthusiasm for our wines and help us to really advance our business.”

When not traveling from market to market on behalf of Gordon Brothers, Whyte resides in New Jersey. He can be reached at walter@gordonwines.com.
