The San Luis Obispo Tribune has reported that Stacie Jacob, who had served as executive director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance for seven years, has been named executive director of the San Luis Obispo County Visitors and Conference Bureau. Jacob will serve as contract executive director for the bureau for the 2011-12 fiscal year.
She recently resigned her position with the wine country alliance in order to start her own lifestyle marketing firm, Solterra Strategies LLC. The firm will represent clients in food wine and tourism. The name SolTerra combines sun and earth. “My goal is to represent food, wine and experiences that are all rooted in a sense of place,” Jacob said.
Prior to joining the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance Jacob was public relations director for the Washington Wine Commission, and before that she served as an account supervisor with the Fleishman-Hillard public relations agency.
