Lot18 Boosts Leadership Team with Appointment of Former Oregon Wine Board Director Ted Farthing

Lot18, the site for wine and epicurean products from coveted producers at attractive discounts, today announced the appointment of Ted Farthing as Northwest Procurement Director, continuing the expansion of its procurement team. Farthing will help promote Oregon- and Washington-based wineries by sourcing limited-distribution wines to Lot18’s rapidly growing membership base.

His hire completes a team of wine professionals throughout the country led by VP of Procurement Dini Rao. Since launching in November 2010, Lot18 has more than quadrupled its staff, growing from an initial six employees to more than 40 today.

“As the former director of the Oregon Wine Board, Ted led the movement to put the Oregon wine industry on the map,” said Philip James, founder and President of Lot18. “Ted’s extensive knowledge and experience in the space will play an integral role in helping Lot18 continue our mission of offering our customers high quality products at a fantastic value. We are thrilled to have him join our procurement group and the rapidly growing Lot18 team.”

Farthing brings more than 15 years of experience in the wine and spirits industry to his position as Lot18’s Northwest Procurement Director. Most recently he served as Executive Director of the Oregon Wine Board, leading the industry through rapid growth and cementing its reputation as a world-caliber wine-growing region. Farthing began his career as Brand Manager for Ruffino, Dom Pérignon and Moët & Chandon, and also developed new spirits brands for Diageo.
