Snooth Media, producer of Snooth (snooth.com), the largest wine site on the web and The Spirit (thespir.it), a new cocktail and spirit destination, announces the appointment of Rich Tomko as the company's new Chief Executive Officer. Tomko succeeds Founder Philip James, who remains as a strategic advisor and Chairman of the board of directors.
A 15-year industry veteran, Tomko joins Snooth from Time Inc., where he served as General Manager of Time Inc.’s MyRecipes Network and as Vice President of Business Development for the Lifestyle Group, which includes CookingLight.com and RealSimple.com. In this role, he oversaw the development of Time Inc.’s digital food business into a category leader and doubled the audience for the portfolio. Prior to Time Inc., Tomko lead CNN.com’s business development efforts, overseeing all non-advertising related revenue generation, content licensing, and distribution partnerships.
