Intervine Inc. announced today the appointment of Ed Matovcik to the position of President.
Matovcik comes to Intervine from Foster’s Wine Estates where he served the last four years as Vice President, External Affairs. Prior to Foster’s, Matovcik served for 16 years as the Chief of Staff to Congressman Mike Thompson who co-chairs the Congressional Wine Caucus. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Columbia University and has studied international business and brand management at the London Business School and Germany’s Humboldt University.
Intervine is a 20-year-old global importer, wholesaler and retailer that provides wine and wine-related services to all major domestic and international airlines and cruise lines. Headquartered in the Napa Valley with an office in Florida, its international sales and buying teams represent wineries from all major old world, new world and emerging wine-growing regions.

Matovcik has served on the Board of Directors of the California Wine Institute, Napa Valley Vintners Association, Winegrowers of Napa County and the Napa Valley College Foundation. He will be based at Intervine’s headquarters in Napa where he and his family live.
