Chip Block Appointed to Senior Vice President of Sales at Winery Exchange

Peter Byck, President and CEO of Winery Exchange, announced the appointment of Chip Block as Senior Vice President of Sales. In his new role Block will be responsible for all domestic wine and spirits sales, customer management and new business development. Block joined Winery Exchange in 2008 as the Vice President of Sales where he successfully managed some of the largest accounts at Winery Exchange including: Kroger, Sam’s Club and Cost Plus. Block worked closely with Kroger enhancing their corporate brands launching 12 new brands and taking to over 69 items. Under Blocks guidance Kroger awarded Winery Exchange their distinguished supplier of the year for two years in a row, 2008 and 2009.

“Chip is an excellent addition to our SVP team and is a great asset to our company,” said President and CEO Peter Byck. “We look forward to considerable growth and profitability under his leadership.”

Block made the ideal candidate for promotion with his beverage alcohol background and extensive experience in sales. Prior to joining Winery Exchange Block held various sales positions at major beverage corporations including: Divisional Vice President at Beam Wine Estates, Divisional Vice President at Allied Domecq, General Sales Manager at Red Bull and Regional Sales Manager at Diageo. Block is a graduate from UC Davis where he earned his Bachelor Degree in Economics with a minor in Communications.
