Halter Ranch Promotes Molly Strupp To Assistant Winemaker
Halter Ranch Vineyard and Winery announced the promotion of Molly Strupp to assistant winemaker. Originally hired by the Paso Robles-based winery in 2011 as lab manager, she was later promoted to enologist.
Halter Ranch winemaker Kevin Sass and Strupp previously worked together at JUSTIN Winery in 2010. Sass has been impressed with her passion and drive; he said "It’s a pleasure to work with someone who has so many talents and passions: she runs the lab, works in the cellar and is eager to get into the vineyard. Molly is an admirable contributor to our team.”
A 2009 graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, she majored in earth science with a concentration in wine and viticulture. After college Strupp traveled extensively and studied geology at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. Before her international travels, Strupp worked her first harvest at Orcutt Road Cellars in San Luis Obispo County.
General manager Skylar Stuck was enthusiastic about the promotion, “Molly’s talents are easy to see and she adds another layer of expertise to our growing brand.”
