Excelsior Wines appointed Michael Many to the post of southeast regional manager.
In his new capacity Many, formerly district manager for Excelsior Wines representing Florida, oversees five district managers and a territory that comprises Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee. He joins a team of five regional managers nationwide, reporting to John Dougherty, national sales director for Excelsior Wines.
Many’s appointment represents the latest in the ongoing expansion and wide-ranging new initiatives underway at Excelsior Wines following the appointment of Marc Goodrich as company president in the fall of 2013.
Founded in 2011, Excelsior Wines is an independent importing, sales and marketing joint venture established between Concha y Toro and its former U.S. importer, Banfi Vintners. Excelsior Wines is wholly responsible for handling U.S. distribution for Concha y Toro’s Chilean portfolio as well as Trivento, its Argentine subsidiary, plus the California labels of Little Black Dress and Five Rivers from Concha y Toro's Fetzer Vineyards operation.
Prior to joining Excelsior Wines in 2011, Many spent five years as Florida district manager with Banfi Vintners. Previous experience includes five years at E&J Gallo Winery, which Many joined soon after graduating from Florida State University in 2000. A scratch golfer (arguably the best on the Excelsior Wines team), Many and his wife make their home within putting distance of a golf course in Boynton Beach, FL, where Many is often to be found in his free time.
