Blends Appoints Michael Bartlett As Executive Vice President Of Sales

Date: 11/12/13

Blends announced the appointment of wine industry veteran Michael Bartlett as the new executive vice president of sales to head the North American division. In his new role, Barlett will oversee sales and marketing efforts on behalf of the company’s portfolio and will answer directly to company president, Brent Cohen.

Bartlett has more than twenty years of proven leadership, strategic planning, distributor management, and team building experience. His career includes senior-level positions at Majestic Fine Wines, Jackson Family Wines, Regal Wine Company and Michael David Winery. During his time at Jackson Family Wines, he worked extensively with the national sales and distribution of their portfolio, was instrumental in the development of their international sales team based in London for four years, and built the VinLux division from the ground up where he was president.

“This is an exciting time to be joining the team at Blends” says Bartlett. “They are primed for expansion and are making all the right moves to take these impressive wineries to the world’s stage. I couldn’t be happier to be part of the team that helps evolve this company into the world-class global wine business that it is destined to become.”

“We are very pleased to welcome Michael to our team” states president Brent Cohen. “His extensive knowledge of distribution, global experience and leadership skills are the exact combination that we need to help guide our business into the future. His talents are perfect for this critical juncture in our company’s growth as we develop new markets and transition new wineries into our global portfolio.”

Blends is an international family of wine estates that produces fine wines from some of the most renowned wine regions of the world. The portfolio includes: Renwood and Santino wineries from California’s Amador County, Bodega Vistalba, Tomero, and Bodega Argento wineries from Argentina’s Mendoza region, Árido from the Maipú District of Argentina, Bodega Garzón of Uruguay, Montalcino’s Podere Brizio and Dievole from the heart of Tuscany’s Chianti Classico region.
