Goelet Wine Esates Welcomes Pam Novak

Date: 08/06/13

Goelet Wine Estates Americas announced the appointment of wine industry veteran Pam Novak to their team as the marketing manager. In her new role, Novak will oversee marketing efforts on behalf of the company’s portfolio and will answer directly to chief executive officer, Adam Torpy.

The Goelet family’s holdings include Clos du Val in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, Taltarni Vineyards from Victoria, Australia, and Domain de Nizas from the Languedoc region of France. The family began their career in the wine business in 1972 when they founded Clos du Val. The winery quickly achieved international acclaim at the famous Judgment of Paris where its 1972 Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon took eighth place. “I couldn’t be happier to join the team at Goelet Wine Estates,” says Novak. “I am thrilled to be working with such an exciting group of renowned wineries from around the globe and to play an integral role in their evolution.”

“Bringing Pam on board is part of a strategic plan to take our wine portfolio to the next level,” states CEO Adam Torpy. “Her experience and proven track record will be a valuable addition to our team.”

Novak, who began her career at Jackson Family Wines, is relocating from Sonoma County to Napa. Her most recent experience was at Rodney Strong Wine Estates where she led the marketing efforts, launched the Davis Bynum winery, developed national advertising campaigns and played an integral part in the repositioning and refocusing of the Rodney Strong brand.

Goelet Wine Estates is a global, family-owned fine wine alliance which coordinates the production, marketing, sales and distribution resources for its own wineries. As a niche global distribution network, GWE represents its own wine brands, as well as a small selection of premium brands from around the globe. The overall portfolio currently includes, Clos du Val, Taltarni Vineyards, Domaine de Nizas, Clover Hill, Kato and Bodegas DeAlto.
