Opus One Winery’s CEO David Pearson announced the appointment of Christopher Barefoot as vice president responsible for public relations and guest relations. Barefoot will be based at the winery in Oakville.
Receiving tens of thousands of visitors each year at Opus One, a great deal of personalized attention and care is given to ensuring an enjoyable and memorable visit to each guest. In addition to Opus One’s efforts to maintain close relations with wine journalists and media, Opus One has initiated innovative programs to enhance our relationships with our customers through direct marketing and social media channels.
Having recently served as sales and marketing director for Flowers Vineyard and Winery, Barefoot was previously employed by Robert Mondavi Winery in the position of estate manager. Within his role in both positions, he effectively built strong relationships with key influencers, press, sommeliers and customers.
Said Pearson, “We are especially pleased to bring in Christopher Barefoot. His background and experience are a perfect complement for Opus One in all matters regarding public and guest relations. Christopher’s passionate attention to detail will be essential in helping us to advance our direct marketing and social media efforts.”
