Dan Morgan Lee, proprietor and winegrower at Morgan Winery, announced the hire of Jim McAllister as director of sales. Mr. McAllister will manage the national and international sales network responsible for the wholesale distribution of Morgan and Lee Family Farm wines.
Morgan Winery was established in 1982 by Dan and Donna Lee. The focus at Morgan is to showcase the highly praised, cool climate varietals from the prestigious Santa Lucia Highlands appellation located in Monterey County. Morgan Winery's flagship Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are organically grown on their own Double L Vineyard estate in the Santa Lucia Highlands northern district.
Most recently, McAllister was general manager at Alysian Wines, where he opened new markets in the U.S. and internationally. He is credited for building direct sales channels to national customers. Describing his new position with Morgan, McAllister comments, "I have always enjoyed the distinctive wines from the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. I am thrilled to join Morgan and to have the opportunity to represent these outstanding wines."
Dan Lee states, "It is a pleasure to have Jim join us. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this very important position and will lead our sales team to new heights."
Now in its 31st year, Morgan Winery is a family owned and operated business. Winegrower Dan Lee and winemaker Gianni Abate collaborate to craft wines which elegantly express the terroir from Morgan's organically grown Double L Vineyard and select vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands and northern Monterey appellations.
