Jeff and Alexandra Cohn, proprietors of the Oakland-based boutique winery JC Cellars, announced the promotion of Bryan Maxson to national director of sales and marketing. This news comes as the Cohn’s continue to grow recognition of their unique take on blends, Zinfandels and Rhone varietals.
Maxson has held a variety of roles with JC Cellars; most recently as distributor relations manager. He has grown sales and increased JC Cellars’ footprint and visibility within the three-tier network. Prior to coming to work for the Cohns, Bryan worked for Kendall-Jackson on their regal team in Northern California, Wirtz Beverage in Nevada and (R)NDC in Florida. Maxson’s intimate knowledge of the winery and entrepreneurial spirit coincide with the Cohn’s vision for this new role, created within JC Cellars.
